Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five Department of Special Education provides a full continuum of special education programs, related services, and placement options to students ages three to twenty-one who are eligible for special education services.

Mission: The Office of Special Education Programs exists to ensure academic success for all students.
Goals of the Office of Special Education Programs
Goal 1: The Office of Special Education Programs will utilize the state performance indicators to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Goal 2: Using required curriculum, teachers will implement strategies learned to instruct students and increase students’ progress as measured by IEP goals, district benchmarks, and state assessments.
Goal 3: Implement positive behavior support systems to reduce the percentage of disciplinary removals of students with disabilities.
